The Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ)

The aim the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ) is to carry out research activities in the area of energy supply and end use. Its work in focused on analyzing energy problems and providing basic data, information and reports necessary for the formulation of energy policies in Japan. Among others, IEEJ published a report on CO2 reduction potential by adopting energy efficient technologies in energy intensive industries, including iron and steel, cement and pulp and paper  (IEEJ 2006).
