Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth (RITE)

Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth (RITE) is a government supported foundation in Japan with the objective of contributing to the preservation of global environment and the development of world economy by conducting research on industrial technologies. RITE carries out fundamental research in the areas of:

  • scenario-making for global warming mitigation,
  • CO2 separation, capture and storage,
  • CO2 fixation by plants and its effective use (RITE 2011).

In 2008, RITE published a report on international comparison of energy efficiency in power generation, steel and cement industries (RITE 2008).
