Residue Injection

Used oils, fats and emulsions of used oil and water and generated throughout the industry. These residues can be injected into the blast furnace at the tuyeres level as a partial substitute of coke and the coal. Dewatering of the residues prior to injection, and close monitoring of the water content is necessary.
