Russian Association of Pulp and Paper Organizations and Enterprises (RAO-BUMPROM)
The Russian Association of Pulp and Paper Organizations and Enterprises (RAO-BUMPROM) is the non-commercial association established in 1999 by the Russian pulp and paper enterprises and institutes. This is a voluntary association of organizations and companies concerned with the manufacture of pulp and paper, as well as the scientific and research institutes. The strategic goal of RAO-BUMPROM is to harmonize business relations between government institutions and society. The mission of the association is to provide its members with substantial support in areas of key value for the successful operation of the companies and areas where the actions of RAO-BUMPROM can be more productive than individual actions of the enterprises.
RAO-BUMPROM coordinates activities across its members, analyses and identifies branch problems, conducts a constructive dialogue between members and government, forecasts and estimates development, assists with foreign trade activities, consolidates joint practices of association members, helps to develop cooperation, assists with professional training and harmonization of intra-company relations (BUMPROM, 2011a).
RAO-BUMPROM publishes several articles on the Russian pulp and paper industry and also publishes general statistics of the European paper industry (BUMPROM, 2011b).
