Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI)

Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) is an association for the worldwide pulp, paper, packaging and converting industries and publisher of Paper360 and the TAPPI Journal. TAPPI supports members in improving their performance by indicating solutions that lead to better, efficient and more cost-effective ways of doing business. TAPPI was founded in 1915 and is located in Norcross, Georgia, USA (TAPPI, 2011a).

TAPPI’s periodic reports keep the industry up to date with news, information and problem-solving methods. TAPPI’s current periodicals include Paper360, the TAPPI Journal and Progress in Paper Recycling (TAPPI, 2011b). “Progress in Paper Recycling” (PPR) is an online electronic journal, which discusses the technical and economic aspects of using scrap paper to produce recycled paper, pulp and corrugated products (TAPPI, 2011c).
