ProVision Lance-Based Camera System for Vacuum Degasser

The lance-based fiber-coupled optical pyrometer measures melt temperature in a vacuum degasser. It is used for producing ultra-low carbon steel through ladle treatment operation. Temperature control in the ladle is crucial to downstream processes, especially in the continuous caster. To produce desired grades of steel, process models based on melt temperature and chemistry. It measures melt temperature automatically before and after oxygen blowing.
